Our
History
Line One Telecom, Inc opened for business in June of 1986 by Peter W.
Brooks. Peter’s first experience with the
telecommunications industry was at the age of 19 in
northern California with South West Bell. 15 years
later, he was working as an inside contractor for one of
the larger communication companies in the Seattle area.

As an
insider to the industry he saw many instances of sales
people being careless and irresponsible with their
customers after the sale was made. As an onsite
technician he was often asked for help to deal with
problems left unresolved by the sales staff and
installation crew. This was one of the main reasons he
decided to go into business for himself.
At
that time, the larger telecommunications companies were
being split up into smaller regional organizations to
accommodate the changing economy, market pressures and
the needs of local businesses. New markets were being
made available to a wide variety of providers both large
and small. With newly developed technologies to power a
growing generation of advanced communication services,
Line One Telecom, Inc was created to
keep the distance between business owners and service
providers as small as possible. As a locally owned
corporation, he wanted to make the experience of
acquiring telephone equipment and services as easy as
possible by being available to answer questions and,
when requested, take over the daunting task of ordering
complicated services for his customers.
After being in business for 21 years, Peter and the staff are still
directly available to help you understand the
terminologies and applications of an ever-changing
communications environment. We have grown in size and
in the range of services we can provide your company to
help make the job you do easier and less stressful. Our
goal in the coming years is, as it was in the past, to
continue assisting the users of more and more
complicated systems to see the advantage of having an
ally in the business, a group of dedicated people to
help you and your staff better use and understand your
communications equipment.
